Purchasing Chanel Beauty: Online vs Boutique?

Hi everyone! I wanted to get people's opinions on the benefits between buying Chanel Beauty products online vs in the boutique. I have an SA at a boutique and have been working to establish a purchase history (multiple bags and accessories over the past few years). Recently, I have been looking at getting more into Chanel Beauty products and wanted to evaluate whether I should go through the boutique (and my SA) to purchase the products, or if I should order the products I need online. I am not sure if the the Beauty items would do much to increase my client profile given their lower cost compared to other items in the Boutiques. Additionally, it looks like if you are consistently ordering online through Chanel Beauty you may also be sent different gifts (samples, holiday gifts, invites, etc.), which I'm not sure would be the case if I were to purchase them in the boutique.

I would love to hear people's experiences with this, what do you think would be the better route to go? (Purchase in boutique and maybe improve client profile/SA relationship or purchase online and maybe receive gifts)

If the opportunity presents itself I always prefer to deal with an SA..
If there is a specific gift that would interest you I have found that SA's will always try to meet
the expectations of the client as they have their own stashes, IYKWIM to hand out plus you are
building your overall relationship, JMO

TLDR: Recommend getting a Beauty Boutique SA.
I do not have a Chanel fashion boutique near me so I shopped beauty mostly online & occasionally when I traveled. My main SA is not really in to beauty. This past Christmas, I wanted the packaging and wrapping you see online but NEVER get with your online order so I called a ‘beauty boutique’ in my state and asked if I could purchase from them since I have a Chanel profile, answer was Yes. The Beauty SA that helped me was great. I ordered my gifts and got them wrapped in Chanel paper, ribbon, charms etc. I’ve made a few subsequent orders and she always puts in good samples and little things like Chanel paper clips, hair pins etc. She is really sweet and quick to get back when I text. Two day shipping is free as well. She’s also more excited about beauty products than a regular fashion boutique SA who obviously wants to spend time on more higher priced sales. Also, she said the beauty boutiques have some SLGs & sunglasses too and can let me know if upcoming launches. Suffice to say I think a Beauty SA is the way to go.

I tend to do both. If you are looking for specific samples, going to the boutique will be a better option as they can get you samples of just about any beauty product available. Online - you only have a few options to choose from and limited to 2. However, with online -you can choose if you want a box or a drawstring canvas pouch to go with your order. I haven’t gotten a drawstring pouch from the boutique. Chanel also give gifts to regular customer - even if you shop online. Last Christmas, I received a denim zipped pouch even if I haven’t ordered anything online from the last 6 months.

I loved shopping in person, I did at Harrods last time I was in London, unfortunately my nearest boutique is over 8hrs away. I do most of my shopping online. I wish we could order more online.

I usually buy the skincare or makeup while traveling abroad, because the price is cheaper than in my country.
I had no choice except buying them from local store when pandemic happened. However, I got invited to their parfumeur masterclass recently and got a lot of sample/freebies!
