Hello Hermes lovers,
Is that normal if you purchased a bag in 2023 but you received old stamp such as 2021 or 2022 stamps
?
One of members here and I got offer same kind of leather Quota bag, we both bought in 2023 and both our stamp from 2021 .Which is 2 years ago.
Does that mean we get bag from old stock or only that leather and style made only that year?

It’s not considered old stock and it doesn’t mean your specs were not manufactured in other years. It’s 100% normal. It’s not like a head of lettuce or carton of milk where there is an expiration date. Last month, my FSH SA offered two bags, a 25B Bleu de prusse (I highly doubt it was 2023) that I rejected as well as my dream bag that I accepted: a blue rainbow 1923 bolide 30 that I believe was a 2020 limited edition. I also rejected a 25B quadrille (bc I already have a quadrille K) at my home store that i believe was 2021 or earlier.

ETA: To be clear, I didn’t reject any bag bc of date stamp but bc I either have other bags in similar colors or materials. However, if you would like to reject a boutique bag bc of date stamp, there will be other clients who will be more than happy to purchase. :)

When I first became a member of TPF in 2008, there were long standing collectors who wrote that kelly bags from the 1990’s were more finely made than current day. They were right.
