Purchase Cracked Pochette Metis?

Hi all,

I am hoping you can help me out. I have 2 gorgeous PMs in empreinte and I want a monogram now that I can use without worrying about it. I am VERY careful with my 2 empreinte ones and they are like new. There is one I have found for 1200-1300 but it has cracks on the front flap... Some other cracks and signs of use throughout. These do not bother me as they stand. My question is, will these likely stay like this or are they probably going to spread? Do any of you have a bag that cracked and what was the aftermath of that? I am attaching photos of the bag. Is this a good deal at $1200? I feel like it is, but please help!! Thank you!

I would avoid any canvas items with cracks. It can only get worse. Maybe if you put something clear on it to stop it from getting worse but it won’t get better. I know your post is about the cracks, but I do wonder what the inside looks like if the exterior looks like that. GL on deciding!

I would avoid any canvas with cracks like the plague. There's a reason why LV doesn't repair it.

Looks like a 50 year old bag with how worn some places are like the leather, hardware and peeling canvas. Umm I would avoid.

I wouldn’t purchase any item with cracks in canvas. The cracks will only get worse.

I think you can do much better than this if you keep looking. This would be a hard pass for me.

Why would you spend any amount of money on a bag that's gonna land in the trash in the not too far away future?
I personally would never buy a broken bag or anything for that matter...
The leather and the S lock look terrible as well, imho

Too much cracks for $1200. I wouldn't buy because you can't resell in the future, loss of value on the bag and cracks will get worse. (Even if you try to super glue the cracks gap, but can't avoid the future getting worse). Maybe under $400 then I will consider, it just me though.

Hard pass! As others stated, those cracks will only get worse. The leather is also heavily abused and the gold chipped away in many places. I don't mind my bags showing wear as this is what we buy them for but this bag has been heavily used and abused. Down the line trying to fix this bag, even IF LV were to touch a bag with cracked canvas(which they won't) would be very expensive.

If it were only a few hundred dollars, I could see buying it as a project to see what you could fix but for $1200
