Hello all!
I have recently purchased a vintage Alma mono that is in very good condition and I would like to keep her that way. I only use my lux bags occasionally. I was wondering if anyone has ever cut out cling wrap and applied it to the base to protect the vachetta (no feet)? This would not be a permanent application, for use a day at a time. Any thoughts would be appreciated! ❤️

I have thoughts: Don't do this. It violates the beauty of the bag, is out of keeping with the whole luxury aspect, and would also be lousy for the leather. Think of it this way: You could use tin foil there instead--would you?

Lol, I understand! I am new to vachetta, it is so beautiful, and I want to keep it looking that way. I definitely will not do anything to compromise its beauty. Thank you so much for the reply!

I wouldn't do this. I would bring a purse hanger with me and when at a table, hang it rather than setting it down. I never put my bags on the floor if I don't have to. I would personally just be mindful of where I'm putting the bag so as to not be careless, but would continue using it and loving it!

Yes! Thank you for the suggestion. I do have one floating around here, somewhere… the search begins.

If you do a little search online, there's a kind of fold up hook that fit very easy into any bag, if you are sitting down at a restaurant etc, you can put the hook on the table edge and hang you bag there. I had one in the past, very handy. That way you don't have to put the bag on the floor at all.

Maybe you could use a leather protector like apple guarde or collonil carbon pro on the vachetta, this way it’s a lot more protected than the untreated leather.
