Protecting Suede Louboutin???

How well does the Applegard protect suede against spills? Red wine, for example?

I'm shopping for my very first pair of CL's and there are a couple styles I love in grey suede, but I might feel too paranoid about spillage to wear them! Unless this Applegard really works wonders. (please pardon my newbiness )

I haven't spilled any red wine on my suedes (thank god) but I have spilled some other drinks - in particular, if it helps, I got some vodka and Sprite on my gray suedes and it wiped right off. I know that's a clear drink and colored drinks might be different, but I think because the appleguard keeps the stain from sinking in you have time to wipe it off if you catch it right away. Hope that helps!

Thanks jh4200; that does help! It might be a good tip to stick with clear drinks while wearing suede actually.

Can anyone tell me if I should be more careful about water spots on python?

Legal: I have a pair of Dior flats in python and I wear them in the rain and didn't get any water spot on them. I got them soaked one day too in a heavy down pour and it just dried up.
