Thanks so much for your help.Apple is a line of leather Care products known to darken some leathers, so I avoid it.
A Rain and Stain guard spray will help prevent dye transfer stains. Buy one that states clearly on the label "Safe for all fine leathers, suede, and Nubuck". There are many good brands, they are all essentially the same. My favorites are Wilson's, Kiwi, and LeatherMagic. Use a very fine light misting in a well ventilated area.
If you're not careful. you may still get some denim rubs, but they will clean up more easily on protected leather. The best thing to do is avoid the stains by making sure your denim isn't bleeding indigo dye.
If this isn't possible, be prepared to clean the leather (with a high quality cleanser like Lexol, LeatherMagic, or Leather Therapy WASH) as soon as any staining appears. Then reapply Protector spray.
*Never use baby wipes or anything else that is not specific for fine leather.
One more note specially about Croc embossed cowhide: Do not saturate it or use forceful scrubbing during treatments. You could lose texture. Easy does it.
