Protecting Hardware from Chipping

Disclaimer: I think this would be best fitted in resources, but I couldn’t post there!

I’m getting a Mini Pochette soon and I have a question! Upon searching I’ve seen posts about hardware chipping in under a year. I know to expect this eventually and there are repair options available. I’m curious if there’s anything you all put on the hardware to delay the inevitable! Do you have any maintenance tips to keep the hardware looking as nice as possible? I’ve always been hard on my bags, but since this pouch will have sentimental meaning I’d like to take care of it a little better Thank you in advance!

I don't think there's much you can do, unfortunately, other than taking care to avoid contact with anything abrasive, and keeping your items away from alcohol gel, etc. Most hardware will discolour or tarnish sooner or later, but it doesn't stop you being able to enjoy your items, and like you said you can always have it replaced. Enjoy your new MPA!
