Protect the inside of Galliera?

Since the Galliera lining is very light, is there any way to protect it? Would Scotchguard work? I don't want to do anything to harm it, but it's going to be so painful to watch the inside of the bag get dirty.

My SA told me the interior of the Galliera was "treated" already, but I know what you mean. I have never used scotchguard on my bags, but I used it on white dining furniture and after 10 years, they are still immaculate !!
