Production week same as week purchased?

Dear all,

Have you ever received such a brand new LV bag from an LV store, that it was actually produced (according to the date code) the same week as you purchased it?

My cousin just bought a Keepall that has date code MB3168 from a Louis Vuitton store this Friday, and we were wondering are the QC, logistics etc. so fast that the bag can make it to a store and sold the same week as produced? She had not custom ordered it or anything.

My Speedy was made the week before I purchased it.

With over-nighted delivery from the factory then why ever not? Completed on Monday, shipped the next day, delivered to store Weds, sold Friday. Seems perfectly feasible to me.

Bear in mind that whilst we know what datecodes mean we don't actually know how LV apply them within the factory environment.

@vernis-lover is correct. Vuitton ships a lot of its inventory via plane. So it’s totally possible.
