I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

In all fairness, the Harkles are not the only ones making money off their BRF connection. I saw this on Peter Phillips’ (Princess Anne’s son) wiki page - “January 2020, Phillips appeared in an advertisement for Chinese company Bright Food. In the video, he uses his status as a "British royal family member" to promote the company's milk, while surrounded by luxury.” And of course there is the case of Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew’s ex wife, being caught on video offering access to Andrew for 500,000 BP and walking away with a suitcase filled with 40,000 BP in cash. Sarah was roasted in the press at the time but she still gets invited to some BRF events. Even With some of her rather unsavory history, she has never been totally blackballed by the BRF. So even though many have wondered why more isn’t being done to prevent the grifters from profiting off their titles, other family members have only received slaps on the wrist so why should the Harkles be singled out for harsher treatment?

Peter has no title. He did get a a lot of criticism for his adv. Sarah writes books and uses her title and I think that writing a book is not the same as selling jam or merching a dress so she is given a pass for that Selling access to Andrew happened a long time ago and she hasn’t done anything that bad since. With two Princess daughters, who were close to the late Queen, she was never going to be excluded entirely. It was bad enough for her that PP said he never wanted to be under the same roof as Sarah so she never spent. Christmas with her daughters after the divorce. KC3 changed that. Yes, she has been treated better, but she didn’t insult anyone either, or spread lies.

I just saw this. Even PMK (Pimp Mama Kris, for anyone who doesn't follow the Kardashians) allegedly doesn't want to be associated with the Harkles, allegedly due to their low popularity in polls.

Because they’re liars, traitors, hurt the Queen, and Prince Phillip while they were dying, disparaging their families, practically called British people as racists, revealed confidential info about others, liars and the list goes on. I think if they hadn’t done those things and just sold or tried to profit people would just say they’re trying to make living but no! They went completely nuclear on everyone. JMHO.

Perhaps sensing a collapse, since she’s never recognized living in her narcissistic bubble, that even she and her “work” are subject to the same laws, rules, regulations as commoners, she is letting ARO expire. Her dimwit minions will frame it as attributable to problems with a bureaucracy and she will sashay off the gauzy screen used in the “launch” video onto her next ego driven disaster, claiming “not my fault!”

Naturally. I'm waiting for her to put her foot in her mouth (being so limber) and accuse the Americans of undermining her whatever. She won't be able to help herself from doing it. Hazzi already insulted the US Constitution. So far, MeMe's meagre intellect has saved her from insulting the country of her birth, but, as the BRF blame game loses traction over the years, she will be tempted to find scapegoats closer to home.

I agree but I’ll add a third reason. She thought that by the branding alone and instagram followers she would have companies begging to put her logo on their products or be flooded with offers (and investors). But it didn’t work.

Lots of celebs get involved with selling products now. I can’t fault her for trying. At least it’s better than selling her in laws secrets for money.

I'm very sure that she thought the very presence of a fairly newly minted Duchess would have had people throwing money and goods at her, and Hazzi likely thought he was so special that the Americans would be dying to meet him. Too bad, so sad
