lalame, do you know who Savile was? Or more importantly, do you know what he did? I hate to say it, but Weinstein pales in comparison.
When I called Savile a demon it wasn't hyperbole. I agree that no one should be accused of guilt solely by association, sometimes we are just chocked that someone was a so and so and did so and so and we really didn't have a clue. But in Savile's case, it's on a level of evil that I find hard to bear knowing that other humans have been subjected too, especially children. I can't write here what he did- and did for decades, they don't even know how many victims he abused.
It's just really really hard to imagine someone being a close friend of his for years and not know. Because it's now been established that a lot of the elite did know. The BBC knew what he was doing and did nothing to help bring him to justice. They enabled and covered for him. But then the BBC has a statue of a naked little boy holding a flute, standing in a very odd position against a grown man right above their entrance. A statue made by Eric Gill, who sexually abused not only his own daughters and his own sister, but also the family dog. I usually scoff at mob mentality cancel culture but children and animals are off limits, so in these cases, cancel away everybody! And don't forget the pitchforks.

But you are right, as with so many of these cases there's not a lot of public proof of anything. Just all of these networks of wealthy well connected people, with a degenerate pe*do in the center of them all.
