hi --

has anyone gotten PRF under their eyes for dark circles? i have deep set eyes and hereditary dark circles, never done filler for my circles before but my injector recommended PRF instead of another type of filler because of the potential dangers injecting under the eyes. has anyone gotten this done under the eye?

Hi
I actually got this done 2 weeks ago. I have wanted to try an under eye filler for years but like you, was told that the usually fillers might not provide great results. PRF is natural- your own platelets are spun and turned into a gel solution.
I do see a difference. I had a rather sunken under eye and lots of crows feet.
I don’t have a before but here is today. It’s advised to do again in maybe 4 months then that’s it. For reference I’m 66 IMG_8588.jpeg

My nurse used a cannula so there was some mild discomfort when she put that in, but the outcomes are better and I had zero bruising!
I really think PRP and PRF are the best injectables. They are finding so many uses for platelets in both normal medicine and esthetic medicine.

I've only gotten one session of PRF EZ Gel - I believe PRF EZ gel isn't the same as PRF (?), don't quote me on this... my injector told me I would need at least 3 sessions, so I need to go back for more. My injector drew my blood and then used the growth factors from it to create a gel that they called "bio filler", and she injected it under my eyes. I saw immediate results but was told that it would go away after about a week and then the growth factors would start kicking in to produce collagen. I haven't seen dramatic results yet but this is my only option unfortunately because she didn't think fillers were right for me under eyes.

Any updates? How are you liking it?

Small study from 2023. I believe more recent ones recommend prf plus fat graft (the combo yielding
the best results).

I’ve only had the latter (fat graft via cannula) and was very pleased in conjunction with upper bleph.

I’ve had Botox and vollure filler (the latter of which was not as good as fat graft). I go to an experience
Cosmetic derm for non surgical and an experienced PS who is double certified in ophthalmic surgery and PS.
