Hi there! So a little bit about me, I got my primary rhinoplasty in the Philippines 2 years ago when I was 24 (I am 26 now). I am Filipino but grew in America and have always been self-conscious about my 'flat nose'. I only really looked into RealSelf and Instagram the first time around so I ended up going with an ig famous doctor in the Philippines whose work is very obviously fake. I should have listened to my gut but hindsight is 20/20. So I really want to do things right this time around with research!
The main thing I don't like about my nose is that my Goretex implant is very obvious in some angles and has a "toothbrush handle" look - aka very fake and you can see the outline that is pretty straight and rectangular. It doesn't match my face at all and also I don't like how my columnella was brought down. Lastly, my tip is over projected in my side profile and I feel is way too large.
For my revision, I wanted more of that button nose or dolly nose look. I'd like more of a slope instead of just a straight line for my bridge. I was wondering if anyone has been through or is going through something similar of having a Goretex implant removed. I am afraid bc I hear tissue ingrowth is common. I am open to having it replaced with a smaller implant but I don't mind my natural profile. I wish I never had the implant in the first place but I was very naive and ill-informed. Please let me know if anyone has experience in this situation!
