NOT A HAPPY CAMPER RIGHT NOW!!! Lol of course they will give me a new pair but.... And I EXTRA BABY these earrings...grrrrrr I have to take them in (2 hours away or ship them off) :( :( :(

I had this happen to my Turquoise Teardrop Stud. I was surprised to see that they were glued! They glued it back together. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

The main issue I see in the photo is that the posts are way too small for a gemstone that big - you're always going to have this problem if that's how they make all of their studs. All studs of this type are glued in, but there is a hole drilled into the bead and a post should be wide enough and long enough so that there is something for the bead to hold onto when glue in place.
I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised if this happens again with the new pair - design flaw!
If you really love the earrings, I would take them to an experience jeweller and have them put a better post in both studs. It'll cost you to do so, but at least they will last.

I agree... Great advice !

The post is definitely too short...I had the same problems with a pair of pearl earrings a few years ago and no matter how well they were glued they would always fall a few weeks/months later. I still have them but don't wear them anymore for fear of loosing them

Hope they can do something about it, please keep us posted.
