Hey
I just need your thoughts I live in Ontario so the stores are not open and the borders are closed .
So i am looking at buying a new Speedy B 30 or 25
I noticed preloved bags are going for above retail or just slightly less.
What do you think is fair to pay for a preloved bag in Good condition thats a few years old 75% of current retail?
what are your thoughts ?
My thoughts are if I am paying close to retail it better be perfect and within 1-3 years old . but maybe I am wrong here .
Let me know

The borders and stores won't be closed forever (hopefully!), so you could always wait. I went to a preloved event today and saw a damier ebene neverfull mm for $50 below retail. Tried it on to see how it looked and if I liked it, but figured for $50 I could have a brand new one, so forget it.

A fair price is going to vary from person to person. A RARE bag is going to go for more despite being preloved simply because it's rare. Most of the bags I've been purchasing have been vintage/preloved that are in excellent condition. I see no reason why it should't cost the same as a new bag if it's rarely been used. Bags that have obvious wear and tear, have rips, stains, etc.....not so much unless it was something I had to have (for whatever reason). I add in the cost to have it repaired and then counter with a lower price. There are many out there with vintage bags that haven't been used for whatever reason. If you believe you can get the same bag new at your LV shoppes and without issue, then wait. For me, it's a struggle due to distance and their new policies so....not so easy. I'll order from their site but often what I want is OOS so....I look for vintage or just wait. If the price is, IYHO,to much for a vintage/preloved bag, then waiting is the right choice. Good luck whichever way you go. :)

Honestly I would buy new. I live in Ontario too and not sure if you are looking for the mono/ebene/azur Speedy with/without bandouliere but would not pay more than retail for these bags unless they are rare - like the Murikami which is no longer produced.
I would wait to see it again in store or just purchase through client services.

I would wait until the stores open up again. Even though they’re usually sold out online, I’ve had great luck contacting my CA with seemingly hard-to-find (online) items and was able to get the DE Speedy B 25 I’d wanted. I did buy a preloved mono Speedy B 25 last year, but it was $250 less than retail (before tax, so probably $350-ish below retail in total) and in like-new condition, so that was worth it for me. Otherwise, I’d rather buy new.
