Hi everyone!
I recently purchased a preloved, Louis Vuitton Pochette Bosphore in Damier Azur from a private seller.
The bag shows it’s age overall (it’s from 2007) but I’m most concerned about these black/ brown marks on both sides of the main compartment, right under the zipper. Could it be mold/ mildew? Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't like it to be honest. At first, I was like, maybe they were just carrying a large piece of coal int he bag and it rubbed on it, but the last pic tells otherwise  Dealbreaker.
Oh that sounds bad!
Can you tell why bags bild mold on the inside? Is this a storage fault? I just want to keep mine in good condition and dont make any mistake…
TIA

To the OP: Im very sorry for you, this seems bad :confused1:

High humidity, poor ventilation. Practically that two. This is why even Vuitton say don't even store your bags in the boxes. They were only meant for the way home, and that's all. They can suffocate the product.
So dustbag only and keep the home humidity at a reasonable level. Very high humidity will lead to mold or the leather will soak up like a sponge, if too low, then the leather might get dry and crack. So basically the same levels that are best as for our own skin. I remember a lovely Russian YouTuber who got a Birkin from her mom for her wedding. She used some product against humidity, I don't remember what that was exactly, but she did put it in the bag, and a few days after she noticed that the result was the opposite, the poor Birkin looked like it came our of a washing machine. So please don't overdo it with any special tools or products, just let the bag breathe
The best against this kinda damage is to simply just use the bag a lot. Rotate it. Wear it every other day, enjoy it. That will keep them from getting mold.

Thank you for the advice! Hopefully, I will be able to return it. If not, I will research how to clean it and just use it.

Hi there, purchased a pre loved bag and wanted to double check its authenticity. It came with the new orange box and dustbag but the date code seems older?

This is the wrong thread for authenticity questions. You'll need to post in the authenticate LV thread.
