Preloved Louis Vuitton Empreinte Speedy Advice

Hello All.

First time posting. I really want the purple Louis Vuitton Empreinte Speedy 25. There's one for sale made in 2012. I'm aware of the glazing melting issues with some of them, so I'm skeptical about getting one in case LV refuses to repair it. I'm happy to pay for repair if it comes to it, but don't know if they are able to on an older bag. The bag for sale is currently in good condition, although some cracking on the glazing on the long shoulder strap.

Shall I risk it and hope for the best or just stay away? They don't make the purple one anymore and I've been wanting this bag for years.

I don't remember a single case when they reglazed those. All of them were store credit. I might be mistaken, but that was my impression here.
But if you really like the colour, I genuinely believe that an expert leather craftsperson can repaint all the edges for a more reasonable amount of money than what Vuitton would ask.

Thank you for your response. I do really love the bag and colour. If they aren't so expensive still I would gamble and hope for the best.
