Hey everyone!

I am kind of stuck in a dilemma and will probably only have made up my mind once both bags are sold to someone else, haha!

Nevertheless, I wanted to hear your opinion on my decision between 2 preloved bags - which one should I get:

-) a Louis Vuitton Mahina bag in silver, really huge and convenient, discontinued, SUPER BARGAIN: 1/3 of retail price so it woukd cost under 700! but it comes with a large stain on the bottom and a smaller stain as well as a small hole on the inside, overall outside body is in very good condition.

-) a Chanel limited edition maxi timeless bag.colors: "blizzard" white with some black on the bottom (this was a limited edition design made to appear as though the bag was dipped in black paint on the bottom) It has the look of a flap bag however the flap is just decorative because this bag actually has zippers on top! Its also quite large and convenient, price point under 1500. Very good condition apart from 1 small ink stain underneath the "flap"

So my dilemma:
Seller of Mahina is very active and responsive
Seller of Chanel has not been active or responsive since October

Mahina would be SUCH a bargain, Chanel would be my first chanel <3!

Drawbacks of mahina: i already own several LV + its condition

Drawbacks of Chanel: the white leather might leave me paranoid about the bag getting dirty 24/7, the price is not exactly a bargain for my student's budget haha!

Thank you for any tips! :)

I have a Mahina bag myself and love it to pieces but honestly wouldn't buy a silver one with the kind of stain that you're describing bc it's really hard to re-dye metallics evenly. You'd have to live with the stain & I don't think $700 is a deal for a damaged bag. I'd wait to find one in good condition if you really want a Mahina. Which I strongly support bc I love mine!

TBH neither sounds that great to me . There are lots of fab LVs and Chanels out there, I think you can do better

I agree with papertiger. I buy new and pre owned equally. I'm never happy with either when I compromise. I think you can find a great bag that is like new if you are patient and hunt. Good luck!! 😊
