Precise measurement of Exeter

Hi everyone,
I love the shape of the Exeter and think that will be my next l.a.m.b. (I am apparently on a spree now!), however, I can't find one in person and need an exact measurement of it's length. (Some places seem to say 13.5" and others say 12")

So... those of you with Exeters, can you measure your length for me? I think the length from outside to outside of the frame would get me the smallest size it would be able to fit into. (I'm trying to figure out if it would fit in the trunk under my vespa seat.)

Thanks, knasarae! (Actually, a comparison to an LV speedy 30 if you have one would be great too, because I know the 30 fits in the trunk.)

Yes, I do have a Speedy 30. I know the Exeter is definitely smaller...my only concern is the handles since they won't lay flat against the bag like the handles of the Speedy will. Plus the Speedy is way more slouchy. I'll have to investigate.

Sorry, it took me so long to respond. I've been having computer issues. The base of the Exeter measures just a tad over 12 inches. HTH!

I just measured one of mine and this is what I came up with:

12" across
5" wide
8" tall

I got some pics but they came out pretty crappy. I took them on my phone so no wonder I'll get them on my computer though to see if they are worth posting.

Thanks for these! I actually just got back from Off 5th since they said they had an Exeter I could go compare in person. So cute, but not a bag to fit in the trunk. A bit too long and I couldn't bear to squish it! So that'll go on my longer-term wish list I think since it's not so practical for the everyday bag. I see what you mean about the handles not laying flat, too, knasarae. I guess I've really got to find a good top case for the vespa to keep my lambs save while riding! Or when's the cute l.a.m.b. backpack coming out?
