Good evening all!

I recently purchased two Coach bags recently (one new large tote, one gently used duffle bag). The large tote supposedly came from the Coach offices as a floor model for a bag that hasn't been sent to production yet. I'm not really sure what to think about it, and was hoping you guys could provide some insight. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also, since purchasing the bag, I've found that it's much too big for my purposes so I'm reselling it. How much would you "appraise" it for?

As an authenticator, I can tell you that we normally advise people against buying bags like this. There is just no way to prove the bag is authentic. We've seen many fakes that use the 99999 style number, and since the style is possibly "one of a kind" who can say that any of the details are off? Unless you were there when it was being produced, you would have no way of knowing that it was authentic.

Even though your bag looks similar to bags that were made in the last few years, what doesn't make sense is that the date code indicates it was made in 2006. The creed wording, format and font don't match creeds that were being used in 2006. For example, it doesn't mention the place of manufacture like other creeds of the time. The creed looks similar to a recent creed. If the bag was made recently, it would make sense that the creed wording would match creeds of the time, but it wouldn't make sense that the year code would be wrong.

Is there a cloth tag sewn into the lining that shows where the bag was made?
