bumping this thread... i love pearls and i hope that more fellow tpfers can contribute their pearl jewelry so we can oggle at more pearls i just love the moon-like qualities of pearls giving the wearer that "glow from within" effect (compared to flashy and sparkly diamonds and other gemstones). i particularly adore south sea pearls (champagne and golden ones) since our country is one of the best south sea pearl sources... here is my recent acquisition and i also added my first pearl ring.

I usually wear these together.

The cultured pearls were a gift and I don't know where they came from. I think they have a very nice lustre.

I used to have an overwhelming number of pearls. I've since pared down my collection to a tiny fraction of what it was, but I still have more than my fair share.

All of my akoyas are Mikimoto. No idea what name is attached to the Tahitian and South Seas.
