  1. Hey TPF'ers!

Does anyone out there have a good Post-It-Notes/Sticky Notes desktop software they can recommend?

I'm trying to find something simple to place reminders on my desktop. Nothing with advertising. Nothing overly complicated.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks!

  2. Do you have a Mac? If so, it comes pre-installed on your dashboard (i.e. widgets).

If not, and you're using a PC, I honestly don't know if there is something out there. Have you tried googling it?

  3. For now, I'm a PC user...

  4. I use Mozilla Thunderbird email client with their Lighting Calendar plugin. You can set reminders, tasks and such with that.

    Here's Thunderbird:
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

DL that, install it, then DL and install Lightning Calendar plugin:

    http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/

I use that cause I can get my Gmail and Comcast mail via Thurnderbird, set up any appt's/reminders through it, then sync with my phone.

If you already have an email client you like, don't want to switch and you use Firefox (if you aren't, you should be), there's this Firefox plugin:

  5. Windows Vista has a post-it note widget.

If you don't have Vista, then 3m makes a product, but you have to pay for it now. It was free for a long time.

You can also check freeware products.

  6. I am currently in the process of choosing a sort of PIM thing, and will post in the freeware thread at some point, one that I will definitely mention is Rainlendar.

It might be just what you are looking for!

  7. Oh I JUST deleted this really great software because the trial was over and I was using it for something that I no longer do. Let me see if I can find it....

here it is... http://www.morun.com/ its a great program!

  8. Google gadgets has an electronic post-it-note feature. No ads and its free.

  9. yeah too bad you're not a mac user... :sweatdrop: I like mac's stickies alot!

  10. A year ago, I used the free Post-It-Notes program that could be downloaded for free from the Post-It-Notes website. I'm not sure if they still have it, but it's worth a try. It was simple and easy to use. Loved it. Now I just use real Post-It and stick them all over the place.

  11. do u have vista or windows xp or something else?

i just got a new laptop & it has vista on it, which comes with widgets as an above poster said. very useful!

  12. For now, I have XP. LOL!

  13. I don't know if you're still looking for one, but I use Stickies, which is a post-it note program for Windows. It's perfect, most of the other suggestions had other stuff bundled within the entire program, but this is a standalone sticky note program.

  14. Thanks for the tip, I've been looking for something like this

  15. Can someone tell me where to find the mac sticky program on the computer? I just got a new mac and am still trying to find my way around! TIA!
