I'd only send it to a professional like Rago Brothers.
I recently bought an Antigona from Vestiare Collective that had been horribly dyed.
(As an aside, the seller tried to pretend the bag was not dyed but was the original color.
Vestiare Collective refused to acknowledge the condition of the bag in spite of the photos I provided. I finally got my money back through Paypal.)
Anyway, the bag looked awful. Just the worst.
Whatever they used did not take to the leather. It was like a sheer wash of red on parts and bright red paint on other parts. Plus the dye was caked in the seams and all around the hardware. Especially around the Givenchy logo.
Once again, I would send it to someone who professionally dyes designer bags. Not just someone who does shoes because from what I understand they need to use different sorts of dye.
Is your bag damaged and just in need of repair? Or do you not like the color?
I actually ended up dying my nightingale, and it turned out really well. I didn't take enough pictures, but here is the before and after. View attachment 2621980View attachment 2621981

Wow nice dye
thank you for you photos. How does it hold up until now?
Oops, I'm so sorry I didn't see this earlier! It's holding up great! I give it a good conditioning with mink oil. There is a tiny bit of color on the cleaning cloth during this process, but I haven't noticed any fading or color transfer during normal use.
