Hi,
I'm new to Coach world and have been buying some bags to try.
I got a Poppy glam tote in fabric (canvas?) material and although I loved the pattern and color I don't care for the bags' flimsiness - the fact that it doesn't stand alone when filled.
So my question is for those who own this bag, why do you like this bag? Do you have some tips to prevent this? The bag is so deep I'm having to dig and find stuff :(

They are floppy but they are also lightweight. I had one I used when traveling. My daughters used them for school bags. Both said they wouldn't use it as a purse. When I carry a floppy bag, I try not to put it down anywhere. Either I keep it on my shoulder or I hang it from a chair. The leather version would probably be less floppy.

A Poppy Rocker is harder to find but I like it so much better. It isn't as tall so your stuff isn't hard to find and the base is wider so it doesn't flop.

I don't have this bag, but I have a few with floppy issues, so I made a custom purse shaper/organizer for the dimensions of my bags. The materials I used are extremely lightweight, but sturdy enough to give shape. If you're not the diy type you could always look one up on a site like etsy.

I had an anthracite one and loved it because it held all my stuff plus extras like diapers and toys when my son was little. It was also big enough that I could stick a lightweight sweater in it. However, the straps peeled and I sent it back to JAX and they couldn't repair it. It was very floppy and everything got jumbled up at the bottom. I have done as others suggested on this forum and started keeping my items in wristlets so things are easier to find and transfer between bags.

I have a black waxed leather Glam and it's my go-to travel bag. It's indestructible, good sized, zips closed, and very lightweight. The floppiness doesn't bother me at all but I've never been a structured bag girl. I agree with some others that an insert might help.

Canderson it is all your fault that after reading this I bought a black glam tote on eBay! ;) I have been wanting to replace mine and needed a big black bag and your post pushed me over the edge. Thanks for the enabling! :)

Did you get a leather one??

Leather one sounds better as I wouldn't have to worry about bottoms being dirty when sat it down. With cloth material like this one, I will have to hold it whenever I need to put it down somewhere.
I do carry a lot of things including a cardigan so I do need a roomy bag. This bag will suit better if I'm traveling maybe...
