Would love some opinions, please! I've decided to get DH an Omega seamaster aquaterra watch and can't decide between colors. I am torn between the green accent lettering and the white. I think the green is pretty unique and adds a nice pop of color but it's part of Omega's golf series and while DH likes golf, he is not an avid fan and hasn't played it in years and he's also not one to really watch golf. The few times he did play, he loved it, though. Which do you like better? DH is a minimalist, dresses casually when not at work and doesn't change watches. The one he has right now is the watch I got him 10 years back. It's silver bracelet with black face too but not an Omega. I think it's time for an upgrade! I would normally get a different color face but I don't think I like the white which is the only other option. Help please!

Did you already see the watches in person?
I did (I happily own an Aqua Terra with a black face since a few weeks :yahoo:), and my personal opinion is that the one with white letters is much more classic and elegant.
But as far as I know there is no marking on the green watch so your DH won't necessarily know it belongs to a "Golf collection".

What if you would surprise him with a Boutique visit (you could ask them to reserve both watches) and let him choose the right one?

Thanks so much for the advice. The thing with my husband is that he will shoot down my proposal if I ask him. He will say "I don't want it" "I don't like watches" etc bc he hates luxury items for himself. He won't go with me. I'm sure of it. He'll say he'd rather use the money for something he will get more use out of. He is not permitted to wear watches at work so he'll really be wearing this on off and on occasions. This is another consideration as I just yesterday found this out. His current watch needs an upgrade but now I'm not sure if I should get him such a nice one. Why is he so difficult to buy for?!

I am always a fan of letting someone choose their own gift, but if you still plan on getting him one of these watches as a surprise, I say the white lettering for sure. Looks nicer IMO and much more classic. I think one would quickly get tired of the green lettering.

I think you should get the one with the white lettering. It looks more timeless and classy. The green lettering on the other watch is really cool looking, but if it's part of a golf collection and golf isn't really a big part of his life (and from what you said, it's not), then I think getting the green one as a gesture towards a hobby he doesn't partake in often isn't worth it. Both of the watches are beautiful, but I think the one with white lettering looks the nicest!

Hi! there is another color of the Omega seamaster aquaterra that you might have not yet seen. its the one with the blue face that was used by daniel craig in the last james bond movie "skyfall" its such a lovely watch and the color blue has a very deep hue that it looks great dressed up or down.

my hubby has it and i think its quite harder to get (low production) compared to the other dial colors of the aqua-terra so if your looking for a somewhat unique piece this one is great. :smile1:
