I have had my JUC for less than 2 months and I have already some how scratched it up pretty badly smh.

Has anyone sent their bracelet off to be polished? I’m hoping a quick shine will minimize the look of scratches but I’m strongly considering sending it in for a polish.

I wouldn't. Especially not after 2 months of wear. Unless your lifestyle changes drastically, it'll just look the same after another 2 months of wear. It's possible that it just needs a good cleaning. Gold is shiny and this gets diminished when there's a build-up from everyday wear. You can also invest in a gold polishing cloth. It'll clean and minimize the look of minor scratches without taking off a lot of gold like an actual polish.

And pics would be helpful to see what level of scratching you're talking about

That's odd. Mostly I hear that you don't see the scratches as much on the JUC.

Did something happen specifically to your JUC? (Since usually JUC doesn’t show the beat-up say compared to Love). Cartier did a good job on shining my Love few weeks ago. But I can still see the scratches. Anyway after done weeks of wear, it’s back to same especially i do a lot of work at home.

I think there is a thread on battle scars on cartier pieces that get scratched up!

Is it because the scratches bother you that you have to polish them out? I think you have to get over that mentality because your bracelet or jewelry pieces will eventually get scratched up no matter how careful you are! Wear it in good health and enjoy your pieces!

Also, there is a service fee to polish your jewelry and wears away at the gold. If you own white gold with rhodium plating they will have to re-do the piece with polishing, which takes a thin layer of gold before rhodium plating.

IMO it aint worth the time and price to polish your jewelry piece. There was a post that a person posted that they went into the store to just polish their piece but the person handling the piece damaged the item by smoothing the edge out and their love bracelet lost its shape. Good luck!

Okay so I did my best trying to take pictures of the damage. My loves are all scratched up and that doesn’t bother me but the scratches on my JUC do. Maybe because I try to be careful and everyday these a new deep scratch? I also have a dent under the nail head and the edge of the nail is raised (hard to explain) I have no clue how that happened and feel like that’s such an odd place to have a dent!

Nope nothing out of the ordinary! I feel like it’s more delicate than the love to get scratched so easily.

It is 18k gold. The higher caratages of gold (18k, 24k), the softer the jewelry is, thus is prone to scratching rather easily. Cartier did an excellent job selling their jewelry extremely shiny and polished. If you want to polish gold jewelry (unlike platinum) to the point where you do not see scratches, Cartier would have to shave a thin layer of gold off the bracelet (not recommended). Otherwise, I would invest into a high polishing cloth that will make the bracelet temporarily shiny, which might optically diminish the visibility of scratches but once scratched, the scratches will remain.

I’m not easy on my bracelets at all and my Juc looks like it did the day I bought it last summer… I feel like there must’ve been something you hit without realizin ?
My Loves are covered in “love” but the Juc seems to wear better for me.

It’s like me noticing random bruises on my body lol

Wow these scratches are much bigger than I imagined a 2 months old JUC would look like. It looks like you maybe accidentally dragged your bracelet through some rough surface. I think, as suggested above, a polishing cloth would help make the scratches less noticable. I wouldn't polish the bracelet now because you've only had it for two months. If you're seriously considering polishing maybe take high quality photos of the scratches as of now and monitor if you get new scratches over the next 6 months or so. Then you can make a conclusion whether this was a one time bad accident or this is just the way you're wearing your jewelry. If you don't see many new scratches you can consider polishing, but if you're seeing lots of similar scratches as time goes by, there's no point to polish because you'll end up with the same issue very soon after polishing.

Tbh, I'd probably be okay with it.

One time I got quite a deep scratch on my Tiffany RG bangle. It was so deep that if I got my fingernail and pulled it across the scratch I could feel it. I was sad for a few days and then was like..oh well. :P
Then I got my bangle serviced at Tiffany for a hinge and lock repair, and when I received my bracelet, to my surprise, they had cleaned up and polished it like new!
I imagine they may have had to take a bit of gold off in the process but I don't know how they did it without making it look like they did not take any gold off it it. The edges of the bracelet did not look rounded or softened down.
But I think, it is because I have never taken the bracelet in for cleaning or polishing (first time ever). So the shape of the edges were not going to be compromised and softened by over-polishing.
And after having my Tiffany bangle for years, when they did polish it during that repair, it was honestly like falling in love with a new piece all over again.

Personally I'd wait, especially since your JUC is so new. You never know there will be a day when you get a seriously deep scratch later down the line and then at that point, sent it in for a solid polishing.
If this is something that bothers you and continues to bother you even after you've gotten in polished (because most likely it will get scratched again no matter how careful you are, especially if you like to stack), then I don't know if you would be truly able to relax and enjoy your bracelet in the long run.
