Polished my Love with a Dremel

Bought a Dremel and polished my Love bracelet. It was pretty jacked up and dull before. It didn’t get every scratch out but it made it a heck of a lot shinier. I only polished the outside, not the corners like I heard Cartier will do. Wasn’t looking for perfection but a lot happier how it looks now. It was super easy to do.

Can you tell us which “head” you used? Sandpaper? Softer rubber one?

I used this head to polish with the polishing compound and another one to buff. I just went very conservative to start.

My hubby does this too with his Tiffany & Co platinum wedding band. I nervous when he decided to do it but his reasoning is that there is so much metal and it may take off a tiny amount but he enjoys wearing his beautifully shined ring. There’s plenty of metal for a lifetime of enjoyment

I did mine this weekend! It came out great - I don’t live near a store and didn’t trust the local jewelers to not soften the edges.

This is so interesting. I got inspiration for doing this with sunshine cloths. I cut them into little strips and glued them onto little sanding rolls that I then used with my nail e-file. Worked so good! Never going back to hand polishing again. I did a ton of research on polishing compounds and mini brush mops today. Going to buy them and see how it goes.
