I enjoyed listening to this very much.
I work with brands for a living and it was a good reminder of how best-in-class product and brand together are a tough combo to beat.

There are many things that set H apart from competitors but my favorite tidbit was where they talk about how Hermès outbids its competitors for the best leather.

It was my impression that Hermes has owned or has acquired many of its tanneries, such as d’Annonay or de Puy,
to gain first access to the top hides. I believe it also wholesales to other companies.

They probably do own a lot of tanneries; it would make sense.
