Pocket organizer materials Item M80768

I'm liking the look of pocket organizer #M80768.

Had some questions about durability--as I frequently place my pocket organizer in my back pocket and sit on it. I already have a pocket organizer in Navy Epi leather and it looks brand new.

I know the epi leather will hold up well, but how about the monogram canvas on the inside? Will the pockets stretch out/crack over time, or do you think they will hold up well since they are folded inside the organizer. I do not carry a lot of cards or cash, so I would not be placing more than one card per slot. Thanks in advance.

I do not have any epi pocket organizers but I do have two taigarama pocket organizers and the pockets really haven’t stretched out at all and I use them pretty frequently. I also only keep one card in each slot.

I haven’t really had any experience with LV canvas necessarily stretching out, but more so it becoming a less stiff.

Also, I have a feeling that the canvas parts, of the pocket organizer you’ve pictured, has the same blue leather on the other side. So canvas stitched to leather but I could be wrong.

They’re both the same cowhide leather on the inside, so that part shouldn’t wear any differently. I have the classic mono PO, and it’s held up very well. I don’t overstuff it though. 1 card per slot, and a couple bills in the pocket. Comparing to the Epi, I don’t think any other LV material will wear quite as well, since Epi is so hardy; however, I do think the canvas wears pretty well. If you sit on it regularly, etc it will probably show more bulge marks where it’s bent vs Epi though.

I had a Macassar wallet which had Monogram canvas on the inside, and it held up just fine. I would be more concerned about the Epi part of it. I haven’t found it to be as durable as a lot of people believe it to be, unfortunately. I have had a few Epi pieces that didn’t wear well at all, particularly at the corners and where items fold. My canvas pieces have held up perfectly.

I have some different pocket organizers with different interior materials. And after months of using them, they all still look great. I have one PO with textile interior and the card slots stretched a little bit, but it still looks good. The canvas interior should hold up pretty good!

Some Pocket Organizers are described with textile lining like this one. Some other has other interior materials like leather and stuff.

If you check the photos, it’s clear all these Taïgarama Pocket Organizers have full leather linings. Their website descriptions are famous for being inaccurate. It’s a poor job of copy-paste on their side most of the time.
As far as I know, they only used 4 types of material for the insides of the Pocket Organizers:
- the typical grained Taïga-like leather that they use on most pieces
- smooth calfskin for the inside of the higher-end leathers like Taurillon, Infini, Ombre, Nomade, etc… versions
- goatskin for all the exotic ones
- and sometimes coated canvas like on this special edition Épi one, but they only do it for the big single pockets, never the cardslots, those wouldn’t survive for long.
