Yes, Edgar is not longer there .. SAD .. but plenty of terrific SA's to choose from ..

Annette is the best! She is super, super friendly! Great follow up on the phone too. I would say Wall Street has a more relaxed attitude compared to Madison (though Susan and Lincoln from Madison are nice too)
newbie to hermes here - i work on wall street and i've been contemplating my first birkin and stopping by the wall st store. would i be able to just walk into the wall street store and buy something on the shelf? or do i need to get to know an SA and buy smaller items first?
The first time I ever went to the Wall St store there was a birkin 35 on the shelf. Before I left the store, someone bought it. So, no, you don't NEED an SA. Of course, as everyone said, they are all so nice there, it won't take long for you to develop a relationship with one or more of the SAs.
I think that early morning is the best time to go.

You would not need to buy smaller items first. But the more appreciation you show for the brand itself, the more you will be shown, in my experience.
Wall Street is a very friendly store, quite low key, in my opinion.
