Please Help! need every style's serial numbers

I totally understand! There is enough collective knowledge amongst our members that we can do this together without stepping on anyone's toes. Hopefully, those with the most knowledge will come forward and contribute so we can have a wonderful reference section for everyone's benefit.

I won't argue that ateliernaff was a great resource, but it is now defunct and was not the first resource that I came across for Balenciaga bags.

This eBay guide has been around for a very long time and (I think?) pre-dates AN's blog:

There was also, at one time (I believe) a guide by dudeiloveyou or a website... can't recall. Maybe someone else does??

Firstly i'd like to say thanks to you all for creating the spread sheets on serial numbers, its been helpful. hmwe46's...ive just seen all your bag collection....WOW.

I'm starting to get into designer bags (don't know where ive been all this time). Ive got the chloe paddington and that's it! I actually really want to buy the Balenciaga city bag. Its sooooo nice. Im a bit stuck though and was wondering what you all thought? I dont know if i should get a red one or the new turquoise one. I'm a jeans kinda girl! any suggestions? The thing is that the blue one has a serial number 115748 3444 on the bag but not sure about the number on the silver plate. What does this number mean?is it authentic? Yep u may have guessed im getting it from ebay! Its seems pretty genuine but wanted your opinions.

Someone needs to write a little primer on the tag issue.

If the tag has numbers front and back - what do the front numbers tell us? My feeble memory states that the front of the tag tells us the style (City or whatever) and the season/year - sometimes. To be frank, I can't remember at all how the front of the tag is supposed to relate to the back of the tag (if there are numbers on both sides).

What about the Step's serial number? I am sure that it only has leather tag but what about the serial number???:confused1: Thank you in advance!:flowers:
