Please Help! Michele Woman's Urban Mini Two-Tone Bracelet Watch

Hi - just got the Michele Woman's Urban Mini Two-Tone Bracelet Watch but I don't know if its defective. The seconds-subdial jumps approximately every 4 seconds, and does not seem to move smoothly around the subdial each second the way traditional watches do. Is this the way the watch is supposed to be, or is there a problem with my watch?

I think it does this to indicate that the battery needs to be changed soon. Some of my other watches behave exactly this way when the battery is getting low.

SunnyDee - thanks for the reply. I've never heard of that before. The watch does seem to keep time correctly despite the jumping of 4 second intervals. Can anyone else perhaps verify that this is indeed what's happening, and that the watch itself is not defective?
