hello ladies,

soo as the title says, my my bday is in 2 weeks so some have already asked me what I wanted :p

I told my parents I want a gold ring, I have 2 but they're quite tiny now(the model) from previous birthdays so I want a big, not really a huge one, to wear daily. But I have a trouble deciding which one I want. with diamand, or w/o? any recommendations?

I really wanted this ring with a coloured background and a queen(?) or a woman with a thrown on it but I have NO clue how its called!

;)thanks

When you say the previous two are tiny, do you mean they are too small on your finger sizewise or just too small in general tastewise? The ring you describe (with the throne) sounds a little........tacky IMHO (Sorry!). How long would you really wear it? Would it be something you'd want to pass to your children one day? For you Sweet 16 I think you should go for something a little more classic, and definately with a diamond if you can!

My I turned 16, I received my first diamond. It was in a ring and very simple and beautiful! Both my sister's also received diamond rings. I remember there used to be a "sweet 16 diamond ring" that stores were selling back then. I would definitely want the ring to have a diamond!!

Get a ring with your birthstone and a diamond in it. For my 16th I recieved a beautiful white gold ring with a white diamond surrounded by black diamonds. I'm an april baby so my birthstone is a diamond!

Is this what you mean?

If it is, it's called cameo jewelry.. I love cameo rings.. they're so whimsical!

But yes.. like some of the posters have said.. a diamond and birth stone ring would be a great sweet 16th ring!

I love cameo pieces as well, they're just so fun and add a unique style to any outfit.

For my 16th birthday, my parents got me a gold ring with a small ruby and two diamonds in it. Unfortunately I lost it on a trip to Florida last spring break (I was sooooo upset) but I had a matching necklace as well that I've started wearing.

aaw thanks you soooo much! Yes I have to think about which one to get since I'm totally in love with that lisalovesshoes posted, thank youuu!! My birthstone is an Amethyst but I don't like how it looks, lucky you april ladies! :p

neenabengals haha I saw a teacher at school wearing it!

rubyprincess168 well, yes both actually. I do would like to pass it to my children if possible.

I just looked up amethyst rings and they're quite pretty..

That cameo ring is quite lovely!

When my mother wanted a class ring in high school her parents refused to buy her one and got her a birthstone ring instead. They said it would last her longer than a class ring would. Smart advice as I now have that ring.
