Please help me pick

Like everybody right now, I am very obsessed with Gucci hehe. From buying mainly LV last two years I want to focus on Gucci this year.

I have made some collages with items I want byt can’t them all (anyone surprised? haha).

So, let’s start.

One pair of sunglasses, which ones?


1-2 handbags (depending on what else I find this year hehe). The marmont top left is the super mini.


One belt:


One pair of shoes:


Maybe one SLG. I also want the marmont card holder in nude/porcelan rose but it is sold out on Gucci’s webpage.


And maybe maybe some other accessoar (the lion head is a ring).



And here is my small collection so far:

Are you buying to wear together, coordinate, separately?

I would go for:

the 'star' glasses because they rock and since you will be paying Gucci prices you may as well go for standout.

The Ophidia sig print Dome (because you don't have sig print yet, you like LV and the web-stripe will go with so many other things). It's also very classic. The rectangle is also nice but it seems your style veers towards the more 'feminine'.

Mini Marmont if you want/need another bag. Also good to have a neutral colour. Add nude wallet too.

Small Queen Margret/bee belt. You can always get a running GG belt another time (and when they're more readily available).

Leather mid-heel web-stripe booties for this 'set'. Get a pair of Princetowns another time.

Green leather bee watch. I don't buy Gucci watches but it's a fun fashion piece and will go with other other things.

For sunglasses: this depends on the shape of your face. If you can wear any of these, top or bottom right. Classic black sunnies never go out of style.

Bag: ophidia middle right because it can wear beyond a season. Printed bags can get boring quickly. And personally I’m not a fan of the marmont.

Belt: smalls bees or Gucci web.

Shoes: bottom right boots or middle left slides. I have both and they are supremely comfortable. White sneakers get dirty easily and quickly. Chunky boots will be quite heavy on your feet.

Accessory: eh. Not a fan of Gucci watches or jewelry.

This is what I am thinking - Gucci glasses = go for bold! But I also want to be able to actually use them a lot. Now and in the future the stars are very very tempting but also the most extravagant and more high risk for future wear?

Bag:
Haha interesting about feminine style. I am a former punk and metal head right now I am wearing batman pants (home with children) but I do get very fascinated by feminine accessoars. And I like to mix them with casual or edgy. I have an Alma BB from LV and the ophidia is very similar (and gorgeous). But the interior is silk - very very afraid of that.. The rectangle has microfiber lining if I am not mistaken. Seems more durable?

Super mini in nude seems like the perfect cute summer bag!

The bee is gorgeous! Everyone says Marmont GG but I can’t let go of the bee!

Interesting. These shoes are most far away from my regular style. But I don’t have anything similar (obviously haha). And mid heel is very wearable!

Other:
I love that watch! Quite expensive but maybe maybe I can afford it. But a watch will be my last purchase for the year (or next year).

Very true. I do think all of these fit me. I have had similar (cheap) glasses in the past. Except for the gold ones hehehe. That shape is unique
I really love classic big glasses. The only con is that every fashion house had some to choose from and I might want to go Gucci all in with bold glasses. But also want to be able to wear them. Hard decision...

Bag:
I love the ophidia line. Prefer the dome shape but do think this is more durable/wearable in the long run.

Belt:
I do think the bee is the winner

Shoes:
Seems like everyone love the princetowns (in leather). You love yours? The slides or these mules are probably the winner this turn. But I am very intrigued by the boots both you and papertiger liked.

That's it. I think these would work with your existing collection too.

I think the opposite regards the sunnies. No one will remember with season these statement sunnies will come from and since you told me your style I think they are even more made for you. I think I may try them myself ha ha.

Apologies, I was steered in the 'feminine' direction by your previous Gucci choices. Would you need 2 oblong bags? The Dionysus could combine both (sig-print/neutral) but you not want another so similar to your green.

I just think boots last longer (I wear them 80% year). So cool with black jeans and even minis in all but the hottest months. I could see the web-stripe mules too.

I like the dome too and agree the silk lining may not be as durable as microfiber. The princetowns mules are great but the only downside is that they can fly off your feet easily. I have the sneakers too in a different print. And aside from white being hard to keep clean these shoes are kind of heavy and clunky for sneakers and don’t have much arch support.

I tried them on, ITA with this. For someone with high insteps they felt weird.

Sunglasses I'd have to see what the temples look like, I like sunglasses with interesting sides, a special logo of some sort if I'm paying designer prices! These all look pretty large, you should try on and see how they look on you, I love large glasses on others but my face is smaller so they don't look as good.

I like the Marmont for the bags. I'm not as excited about the signature Gucci print, I don't know why. I know the Ophidia is all the rage now, but every time I see it, it reminds me of my aunt's old Gucci purse she always carried when I was a young girl. Not a bad thing at all, I just think sometimes when trends make the next go around the people who remember it from the past aren't as enamored with it.

Big - yes!
Temples - yes! Temples are very important and most of these have temples that I really do like. Some with webbing, some with studs etc. But which ones do you prefer frontwise?

Bag:
Do you even like the super mini in marmont? I go back and forward with marmont (regular size bags). Some days I want one NOW and some days I kind of not like the matelasse pattern. The pattern of the super mini is a little bit different and I really like that.
GG supreme canvas wasn’t a hit for me, until I found the bengal print and started to like it. And then the blooms print and now I want a bag in it haha.

Yes, I think I will get one of the bees

Trying to find the marmont card holder in nude but it is sold out everywhere...my husband want to gift me that...need to find it haha.

Shoes:
I have never bought designer shoes before so want a pair that I will get some use out of. Have two small children so casual might be good. But also nice to have a pair for work.....where there are no sticky fingers haha.

Haha, yeah, I am very drawn to those glasses...they cost as much as the super mini bag so they are quite expensive. Will have to calculate a little bit

No worries! I do like the feminine style and sometimes dress like it, but it is not my main style and I don’t feel too comfortable in it in the long run. Edgy, colors, casual - in a mix sometimes haha. For work mainly neutrals and classic clothes (which makes most accessaories quite mixable).

I know! The canvas Dionysus still bugs me! Can’t let it go. I am worried that I am trying too hard to find alternatives that are not as good as the Dionysus. But I am also afraid of getting bored of the Dionysus style if I have two...

Yeah, boots are wearble for a long time during the year even in Stockholm/Sweden. Not as much as in London but almost. The mules are gorgeous - but could you have any socks in them? Otherwise hot in front (leather) and cold in the back of the foot (open shoe)?

Front-wise I like the 2 on top row, 2nd row left pair, 3rd row left pair (blingy ones). Blingy might be "too much" for me to like it long term but it is cute.

I like the look of the super mini, it would be too small for me personally (I'd be more into small or medium Marmont flap size or maybe small camera bag style) both in terms of holding my things and how it looks on me, but if this is your go-to size it's cute! I do like the Gucci blooms print!

Shoes would definitely have to be a try-on, so many are just uncomfortable!
