I've been on a watch hunt lately. I have lots of womens watches and much prefer the larger ones. Also my watches all have crystals or diamonds and i want something a but "tougher". These are both mens watches but no larger than my large womens watches so i know the size will be perfect. I just can't pick beyond that. I love the arabic numerals on the Movado but I think I like the case and band a bit better on the Tissot. The Tissot is just a ~smidge~bigger. 33mm Movado, 36mm Tissot.

I should add it was a fellow member here, einseine, who's blancpain got me started on this hunt. I found a watch like hers, but at that price I wouldn't be able to get any of the other goodies I want. Here's hers:

For the most part I agree with liking the Tissot best, but I just don't know if I can let go of wanting those arabic numbers on the Movado (and the Blancpain). Can anyone talk me out of that? lol.
And while I'm not much of a fan of the Movados with the dot that became so popular a decade ago (personal preference, nothing personal), I could almost get over it. Tissot on the other hand I know nothing about. I'm more of an Omega girl, and my fashion watches are Bulova, Michael Kors and a fossil that is so pretty I'm willing to ignore the name. Not that there is anything wrong with fossil ( I know they make Michael Kors and Michele watches) but the name just brings up memories of blue face watches in the 90's for me. :-P

Now that you mention it kohl_mascara, the face does look like a Rolex that I saw and really liked a while ago. I do like how it doesn't actually look like it's trying to be a rolex though, you know what I mean? Or at least I don't think it is.

The Tissot is a quartz. I wish it were a mechanical automatic. Then it would have been a no brainer. When I began this watch search I started looking at 1960's watches mostly and was so excited about the prospect of owning a vintage mechanical watch that would be my everydayer (my other one is a very very old diamond and dainty Omega that I wore at my wedding and only on special occasions since). I spent DAYS searching and only really liked a few Omega Seamasters, but wasn't in love. These watches just aesthetically fit the bill the best. And they are cheap enough it doesn't hurt my "saving for a Rolex" fund...hehehe.

Nope, it doesn't look like it's copying Rolex at all! It just has really clean looking lines and a classy/timeless look that reminds me of the brand! :D
