I’m looking to purchase my first VCA. I’m having a tough time deciding if I should get the necklace or the bracelet! I’ve attached photos on the items I’m considering to purchase. Please help me pick one!

Some questions:
- Do you feel that anything is missing in your current jewelry collection (in general)?
- What type of jewelry do you gravitate towards more? (bracelets vs necklaces)
- Are you very hands on in your daily life?
- Are you more careful about wearing you jewelry or prefer to not worry and be more carefree?
Personally, my ideal life would to be to have a VCA alhambra bracelet but I know that I do not like to baby my jewelry and I will probably eventually damage it. I am very hands on in what I do and mildly heavy handed + careless.
If I had to choose among your choices, I'd go with the 10 motif MOP necklace. It may not be for everyday wear, but it's something on my neck, out of the way from things, and I don't have to worry about it hitting something, getting scraped, etc.. It's also not that long that it will snag onto something imo. It definitely has a beautiful and elegant look that will upgrade any outfit.
I tried on the 10 motif in the Chalcedony last year and it was gorgeous! (though I ended up with a Cartier watch instead lol)
Side note: This does not mean I will not purchase any alhambra bracelet. My tentative wishlist has the black onyx because I know it is a bit more durable.

I would choose the 5 motifs bracelet instead of the 10 motifs necklace as your 1st purchase. I love both the carnelian and MOP stones on the Alhambra design and you can't go wrong choosing one over the other. I think with the 10 motifs necklace, you should ask yourself how often will you wear this necklace. Because I love sets, I have both the MOP 5 motifs bracelet and 10 motifs necklace. I found myself wearing the 5 motifs bracelet more than the 10 motifs necklace.
I would go with the 5 motif carnelian bracelet for everyday wear because MOP is delicate. Then, get the 10 motif MOP necklace, since it's on your neck, you don't have to worry about scratching/denting. You can wear them both as a set, and they are not too matchy.
Have you tried on the carnelian? In my experience carnelian shades vary greatly from piece to piece and the website shows an idealised version of the colour. My suggestion would be to definitely see it in person if you can.

It depends on your life style and also do you wear necklace and/or bracelet more than the other? to me, I love MOP, I started with one motif pendant, and added 10 motif, and then the VA earrings later. I don't have 5 motif bracelet because I prefer structured bracelet. If you are more of a bracelet person, I would go with Carnelian because as other member mentioned above, the MOP is more delicate. good luck!
Honestly, it depends. If you take your jewelry off every night and before showers, etc. then I’d personally go with a 5 motif bracelet as it’s the most feminine looking to me. However, for longevity and if you wear the piece when you’re sleeping, definitely the carnelian 5 motif. The 10 motif is nice but I feel that it’s not casual enough for daily use compared to a single pendant or 20 motif

Hi, I am in the same situation. I am currently in Dubai and bought my first VCA piece here, and it is 5 motif MOP bracelet. And now, two days later, I am so in love so I have reserved the pendant, which is waiting to be picked up at Dubai mall tonight . Happy deciding for you too! The whole process is a dream!
I’m so late to answering this however I would recommend the mop bracelet as first purchase. It’s not that delicate ….have to avoid water, perfumes etc same as pearls but definitely wearable. Also bracelets are for you to admire whereas necklaces and earrings are for others
