IMG_0724.PNG IMG_0729.PNG Hello purse loving friends. I need help! I currently have two bags that I am trying to decide between. One is from Kate Spade's Emerson Place line and it's called Lenia. I know it says it's sold out, but one is available in a store. The other is Tory Burch's Georgia crossbody. Both are quilted leather crossbodies in black. Can't decide between the two! Please share any advice/opinions. Thanks!

I have the ToryBurch but haven't carried it. I like that you can remove the strap and use it as a clutch. Is the Kate Spade comparable in size. I couldn't see the dimensions in the picture? Also the quilting on the Tory Burch is actually embossed Ts.

I appreciate you responding! The Kate Spade is the same length, approximately 10 inches, but it is one inch higher. The chain can be used crossbody or doubled to be shoulder strap length. The leather is softer and the interior is a pink satin fabric.

Have you seen the Tory in person? I know that the strap can't be used as short shoulder. Not sure if that's a deal breaker for you.

Congrats on getting the Georgia by the way! It's a gorgeous bag. I have seen both in person and they are both beautiful. I am just really struggling on which to buy. Not being able to use the Georgia as a shoulder bag really doesn't bother me. I've resorted to asking my teen boys for advice on picking one and they really could care less!! Thanks for trying to help me!

The Tory Burch is a lot 'busier'; the quilting being little letters, the fussy gold medallion.. is that ok for you..?
I personally like a little more subtle so I can wear it with more, and the silver 'bar', smaller gauge chain and subtler quilting skews me toward Kate Spade's.
Also, are you one that typically feels that gold is more flattering to you than silver/vice versa..? They both look gold on my screen. If you only like silver jewelry, don't get either.

Well, so far the Kate Spade and the Sloan are the most to my taste, but you can find black flap bags online till the second coming. If there are any that are out of your budget (or more than you want to spend for a bag you know you'll only wear with x outfit) then cross those off immediately.

This is exactly my point in posting these other bags. There are tons of black flap bags out there at every price point. I chose the ones I found that are at the same general price point as the OP's choices. OP, if you can't decide between these two bags, then forget both of them and keep looking. When you find the right one, you'll stop dithering and buy.
