Hi ladies! Please help me decide on my big birthday gift! I can’t decide between the guilloche 10 motif necklace or Cartier pave love necklace. VCA necklace is more expensive at around 11k than Cartier at 9k but the Cartier one I can enjoy immediately whereas the VCA necklace has a 4 month minimum wait. I know this is a VCA forum but I thought I’d still ask. The Cartier necklace I’ve loved and had my eye on for a few years. It would go with my other love collection pieces. As far as VCA, my sweet hubby has a goal of completing the guilloche set for me (I already have the 5 motif bracelet and the ring) but is ok with anything I choose. I’d love to get some thoughts!

For the price I'd go with the 10 motif guilloche, better value and presence imo so you can dress it up or down. Plus you can attach it to your 5 motif to wear as a longish necklace so that adds versatility. I'm not trying to be mean but the Cartier doesn't look like a $9k necklace and it reminds me of something from Mejuri (nothing wrong with Mejuri btw!)

Personally, I’m not a fan of circle pendants. I just don’t find them unique enough. And the silhouette of the love pendant is very ordinary. And the diamonds are quite small.
I would go with the Alhambra necklace. Which has a more distinctive design. And it looks good from all angles.

I do remember someone mentioning that the guilloche 10 motif is quite heavy , so keep that in mind.

Hands down 10 motif Guilloche! Any round pendant reminds me of a swim pool floater😅✌️ . I love Cartier but that doesn't look classy or worth 9k. As what others mentioned Guilloche is versatile, stunning & just Wow! 10 motif or a pendant either one is Spectacular. I bet it'll be worth the wait.

I have the VCA yg guilloche 10 motif you're considering, and while there may be a wait, it is a lovely piece. I don't wear much yg as of late, but when I do, I still wear it casually with jeans and v neck t shirts as well as for dressier occasions. I definitely recommend - esp since you have the bracelet already.
wow this is a hard decision! I'm a fan of circle round pendant necklaces lol, I personally do not like the love line (mainly bangle and rings) but I do like that necklace!
I'm also a vca girl so the guilloche is very nice but i think based on picture profile I'm leaning towards the love necklace.... jewelry for me is about feel, i either fall in love with it or not at first sight 😅

Thank you so much everyone for your input, it really was helpful! Just wanted to update that I placed my order for the VCA 10 motif guilloche necklace. I honestly love both brands equally but my decision came down to the fact that I already own many pendant necklaces so the 10 motif would be really unique to my collection. I can understand the criticism of the paved love necklace but I still really like it and may choose to get it in the future.

I saw in another thread that you have the magic 6 motif necklace, it’s beautiful! I mentioned to my SA yesterday that after I complete my guilloche set I’d maybe want the magic 6 motif necklace and she told me it was almost impossible to get, that they’re reserved for the highest spenders only and only sell like 2 a year…I was really surprised, is this true to your knowledge?
