Hi everyone

Hoping to please get some advice. I’m after a new everyday bag and can’t decide between the LV croisette or the saint laurent toy loulou!!

I like wearing my bags on my shoulder but like the option of having it crossbody also. I would have to probably get a different strap for the LV as it seems quite long and I’m short but that’s ok

Maybe you have another option I haven’t thought of so would love to hear suggestions also! At the moment I’m carrying my Chloe mini Marcie and that has served me well but I need a change!

Thanks so much! Xx

I love both, but don't own the Croisette (if they came out with the Croissette in Monogram, I'd be sold) but I do love my Toy Loulou.

I would go for the Croisette, height be damned; and keeping in mind the LV price increases. I'd buy the Croisette now and keep an eye out in Black Friday sales for the Saint Laurent bag.

Thank you so much, yes valid point about the price increase! I appreciate your help

I have the croisette and I adore it. I love the loulou (I have 5) if I count the camera bag. The toy is just too small for me.

That’s great to know, thank you. I was wondering if the toy would be too small! I’m considering the small also, can the small fit on your shoulder with the longer strap? Thanks hun xx

Yes. The small can be worn several ways. Crossbody, On the shoulder with the long chain and on the shoulder with the chain doubled etc. A word of warning, the price jump from the toy to the small is quite significant.

100% YSL. I love my loulou toy size and its a classic from the brand.

I own the Croisette in DE and shortie here too (5'1 or 155cm). I've only tried on the toy loulou but noticed right away that my Croisette could fit more things.

I believe the toy loulou has a new model now without the middle compartment, so I'm not sure if it's roomier now. The non-adjustable strap of the Croisette is definitely too long, so I bought a non-branded one from Etsy as I don't own any other DE bags.

It might be worth checking out the small loulou if you would rather have a leather bag vs canvas, and there are so many more color options with YSL too. I remember the toy was very light (the Croisette is too) but not sure about the weight of the small loulou. Good luck choosing!

I think the Croisette works as a great day bag. However The Ysl Lou Lou (small) can transition well into an evening bag as well if that’s important for you. I recently checked it out in store this week and that’s the perfect size for a petite frame. Frankly the toy didn’t cut it for me in terms of size. Another option to consider is probably a bucket bag if you’re into it. Like the Mon Tresor from Fendi or the LV ones as well. Hope that helps!
