I'm sorry I didn't reply before, but I only saw your post now. The leather of my reissue is still great. I believe it is calfskin (or lambskin, I can't remember), it is very soft. I can post a pic if that would help.

I had forgotten where it was stored, so it took some time to find it. The pictures are not very good, but I hope you can still see the leather inside and outside.

No, it looks fine. This metallic blue bag is not very photogenic, it looks better in person. I've another metallic Chanel reissue that is also fine. The only problematic Chanel bag I have is the Gabrielle, it is peeling on the bottom with almost no use. Don't worry and enjoy your bag.
