Hi all! I got the Perlee Between the Finger Ring in carnelian right before the recent price increase (saved $250 🤑). I’ve always liked it and thrilled to have found it in my size before another price hike. However, I’m also falling in love with the Perlee Duo ring that came out. I don’t want to spend too much this year, so I want to settle with just one ring.

I believe I can get more wear with the Duo ring. I already have a carnelian/RG Guilloche 5 motif, and it is not getting enough wear since red is hard to fit into my wardrobe. However, the Perlee BTF is more special to me in terms of the open shank.

Love to hear your thoughts please, Thank you all!

Hmm, I don't think I'll give the best advice because I don't own any VCA, but just my thoughts.

Personally I'd go for the duo ring but it's more in-line with my aesthetic and while I like VCA between-the-finger rings, I prefer a different design/collection. The perlee version doesn't speak to me.

Having said that, it seems like you ticked the perlee between-the-finger ring off your wishlist, seeing that you've always liked it.
But then you mention that red is hard for you to wear based on your experience with the bracelet.
So, do you really think the perlee between-the-finger ring would work out for you?
If so, then it makes sense to get it after wanting it for so long, but then it appears that the duo ring may be a change of heart?
It is a new collection that is sparking everyone's interest. And of course, also very beautiful. The question is, is this a short term, instinctive, emotional high that you're getting off of it? Or are you sure you really like it and want it for the long term.

I'm very instinctive when it comes to jewelry pieces. Usually when I fall for a piece, I go for it quite quickly and fortunately it ends up being the right choice that I am happy with for many years.
But with my pieces on the wishlist being much more expensive that before (not only of price increases but also because I'm falling in love with bigger ticket items in general) I have to hold myself back and question if it is something I truly want.
We have a long-term jewelry wishlist thread that I have put things on and taken them off of after months or even a year of thinking about them. So that tells me, sometimes it is good to wait and think about it.

Also, if you haven't tried on the duo ring in-person, highly recommend. I'm sure you'll get a better idea of what you want when you try it on.

The duo ring doesn't seem overly special or interesting to me, it looks like vca tried to make a version of the trinity ring with less success.
The btf ring is interesting but you say the red is hard to integrate with your wardrobe so I will say neither.
Choose a ring that you will love and is easy to wear.

Thanks for your post! I need to do more thinking. Good point about the Duo looking like a Trinity ring.😕

Great analysis! You definitely got me thinking as reading through your post. I need to think more… thanks for your message!

i honestly don’t like the duo ring. the in between finger ring is way cuter and unique.

Hi! I totally agree with @A bottle of Red.
I think the new Duo ring is a Trinity ring copy. I tried it on, and it's nothing special, very disappointed VCA even came out with this design.

I think you need to decide if you really like "band" rings. I love love love the concept of Trinity, with its three rolling rings. However, I am not a band ring person as I think they look like wedding/anniversary bands to me. Hence, I don't own any band rings.

If you love band rings, I would get a Trinity pave instead of the Duo. It's stunning and the three rings actually move.

Back to your BTF ring...
Since you have always loved it, I would keep it. Red is a neutral, it's a nice pop of color, so you can wear often.
However, if you are having buyer's remorse and bought it due to price-increase-panic, I would exchange it for something else you love.

My two cents on the ring...
For me, I'm not a super fan of the Perlee Coleurs BTF rings. I personally feel the design is neither here nor there, like two dots. Assuming your price point is about $10K, there are other BTF rings I would choose, so maybe look around. You can go for something like the Lucky Alhambra BTF ring. It's whimsical, fun, and very neutral stones.

Or this...

If you are not 100% sure you love your new Perlee ring (e.g. panic buy due to price increase), I would definitely return it. It would be a waste to have bought it and never wear it. If you do love the ring and are only bothered by the red color, don't be... Red is definitely a gorgeous neutral, but red is also a wonderful pop of color. As in a nice red lipstick... goes with everything!

Hope that helps and good luck to you.

Thanks mjlov123, BigAkoya, 880, and everyone for your comments and support! I decided not to go with either of the rings at the moment since I bought it mainly bc of the price increase. Even tho the Perlee BTF ring is something that I really like (and will continue to like), the carnelian is not the best on me.
