Hi guys,
I'll be in Paris next week & would like your help on what to get next, based on what I have, wear, etc and on your experiences and opinions.
I'm also going to Geneva, Lausanne, London and Dublin, if the mothership fails me. My SO has been shopping there for a long time, we got a black Kelly 25 in August and we bought other things afterwards, so I stand a chance at getting another right?
I originally wanted a gator or croc K or B 25, but they didn't have anything or up a size in any colors. My SA told me to come back before Fashion Week because they receive a big shipment, but I wasn't able to until next week. Should I let her know I'm coming?

Anyways, I have a "grande dame",
Birkin 30 in Blue Iris ostrich with GHW
"La pequeñita" ("the little one" in Spanish):
Birkin 25 in Etoupe Swift with GHW
My black Kelly. No nicknames. The chicest of the 3.
25 in Epsom with GHW

Size wise, a B 30 is as big as I need to go. This is my 'large' bag and not the most practical to go out at night because unless there's an extra seat, the it will be on my lap (I don't like it on the floor). Also, due to size, not as dressy as a B or K 25.
A B 25 fits my day stuff confortably, I'll have no 'baby' sitting on my lap at the restaurant and it's small enough to go from casual to dressier.
Versatility is very important to me when I'm making this kind of commitment $ to something,
so day to night/casual to dressier and a color that works with what I usually wear is very important to me (jeans, black, light and dark neutrals, white shirts, monochromatic head to toe with a pop like a rouge casaque Kelly belt, red Valentino rockstud shoes, rose gold CDC buckle with saphire blue belt and Chanel blue patent shoes or metallic shoes and etoupe belt. Revert to black when in a rush. You get the idea, right?

So here are the contenders, in no particular order (please share your experience if you own or have owned one of these bags, whether you wore it a lot or not, if it needed babying, hard to wear color, better alternative, etc. Any feedback is welcome!)

A light neutral B 25:
-Dream of Himalayan B 25 (who doesn't?)
-Would be ecstatic with a Beton croc B 25 (not sure how much of a VIP you need to be offered one though)
-Have never seen IRL, but love a B 25 in Parchemin ostrich
-Poudre alligator

Taupes and blacks
-Gris torterelle croc K or B 25 (to die for, but will it basically be an Etoupe croc bag)
-Graphite or Noir croc K or B 25 (too redundant for now, since I already have a black Kelly? There's nothing chicer to me than a black croc Kelly in any size, but for my 1st croc bag, I want to make sure I'm not redundant). Although that's like saying having more than 1 black bag is redundant, right? Lol

Pure, bright red that stays bright even when there is less light around (you know how some reds look burgundy when it gets darker and others you can still tell it's a bright red, but with just less light around it?
Like a Ferrari or Fire engine red
- K or B 25 in croc/gator/ostrich (rouge vif looks beautiful in pics) or a smooth leather like Swift (I imagine some reds probably look nice in Epsom, too. Red box calf or similar would be a dream, bit I imagine only 2nd hand?)

Golds and naturals with contrast stitching
-Vache naturelle B 25 (if exists) or B30 (would be a dream, but I don't know if I could handle from new to patina-ed without going crazy ). Probably impossible to find a new one, so I'm probably safe ☺️
-Barenia (Fauve? The original, smooth, saddle leather) B 25 (not Faubourg). Again, unless a collector let's go of one, I doubt H will have anything in the old Barenia, no?
- if all else fails, I can get a B25 in gold Swift. I don't know of any other 'natural/contrast stitching' combo currently being produced (Faubourg Barenia, but I don't like the grainy leather).

Sorry for the LONG thread and thank you if you made it this far

You should contact your SA with a wish list. Perhaps she can put something aside for you.

Red Kelly is a must have! Croc red kelly would be the ultimate red bag. Unless you live in a rainy climate, croc will wear well.

Since you already have Etoupe, I think Gold may not be a necessity, but Barenia would be an awesome addition.

Good luck!

Thanks, @shopaholicious !

It’s funny that you mention the red Kelly, because it’s a color I’ve been obsessing about even before everyone started ‘seeing red’ this season. ‘Obsessing’ means you buy a Chanel Boy bag, not sink $$$$$ into a crocodile Kelly, that’s why I want to make sure I pick the right one (IF I’m even offered one). At this point it’s still a mystery to me what kind of bags are reserved for what kind of clients and when they get offered them.
My first purchase was an ostrich Birkin. I was asked what I was interested in (type of leather or exotic like crocodile, etc), but I didn’t say crocodile, because that what not what we were there to get. My SO seemed underwelmed by my 1st choice, an B 25 in Etoupe Swift and given my preferences, asked our SA what else we could see. I had already passed on both a B 25 in Gold Swift with gold and another with palladium hardware.
When he comes back with the B 30 in Blue Iris Ostrich, my heart skipped a beat. It wasn’t what I thought I wanted, but the second I saw it, it took my breath away (and the Mr. was on board with it).
I never asked for another exotic until Paris (my 3rd bag) and even though it’s not an exotic, I imagine the combo is a pretty popular one (K25/black/Epsom). Does that mean they see me as a ‘good standing client’ and I have a good chance of getting the exotic I want next time?
