I am new to the jewelry collector... Now I am looking for my first plain ring for my graduation....I have 4options in my mind now but not sure which one I should get first

i) Tiffany & Co Picasso Paloma Love Match Puzzle in WG
ii) Bulgari Parentazi WG
iii) Bulgari Partentazi YG
iv) Cartier Love ring

What do you think... And for WG...will it be dull easily in long term?

TIA :)

I'm not familiar with those rings, so I can't help you. As for WG being dull easily in the long run, mines don't. If they do, they can be easily buffed out to renew its shine. Cleaning/buffing cloth is readily available in stores.

Also, if your skin has a certain reaction to white gold making it yellow more, you can have the ring re-dipped.

I'm not familiar with any of the rings except the Cartier one. It's very nice and would work with you for years to come!

I've seen no.1 and no.4 in person. Not familar with 2 or 3. What do your hands look like? I ask because I have large fingers and thought the the Love Match was dainty. As for the other options, I guess they could go either way. Have you thought about the Cartier Trinity Ring? Not to put more on your plate, but it's nice ring as well.

Thanks for your comments

burberryprncess, elizat.. can I do re-dipp at any store, or is it better to take it to the brand that I bought?

uafly1..my hands are pretty small.. my middle finger is Bulgari size 52-53.. I have thought about trinity ring (engrave) in whitegold, but then I'm afraid of the scratch

Personally I would take it back to the store that sells the brand for re-dipping. However, any jeweler will provide the service. Ask for the scratch, don't worry about it. It will happen so invest in a cleaning/polishing cloth.

Are you close to any of these stores? Maybe trying them on?
Or try making a paper ring. Get the measurements from the website cut a strip of paper and tape it your finger. This will surprise you.
I that about getting the larger trinity ring and then I did the paper thing. I ended up with the smaller one.

Oh, to add another vote to this, I LOVE trinity rings. The tri-color is beautiful and such a great bridge piece! I want one myself- I would not do Cartier branded one b/c of the price point, but I have such a love for trinity rings.

I agree. In fact, when I read that the op wanted a plain ring -- that was what came to my mind first. I believe the tri-color one is $1000 in the US -- at least that's the info Cartier e-mailed me about a week ago. You can also go to rollingrings.com -- I know some people on pricescope have bought some from them for less. That's all I know about that company, though -- don't know about service or quality, etc.
