Hi

Please could you help me choose between:

a 35 Birkin in Togo Raisin with GHW

a 40 Birkin in Clemence Raisin with GHW

a 40 Birkin in Togo Raisin with GHW

and a 35 Birkin in Chevre Raisin with GHW

Which in your opinion does Raisin look best in? Will Togo look OK in the 40 size or is Clemence better for bigger bags?

Also, does anyone know how much more expensive Chevre is than ordinary leather?

Thanks so much!

I'm begining to adore raisin.

I would go for 40cm togo ghw BUT

I think I have read elsewhere that a togo birkin in 40cm can be heavy, clemance being more supple will make look a little more 'casual'

NBVfan has just posted a reveal with a 35? raisin ghw but I'm not sure of the leather. It had veins running down so poss fijord???

I think you will get more votes for 35 togo ghw because it is the most practical + lady like option from your list.

Which ever you will get I'm sure it will be stunning if NBVfans new birkin is anything to go by :tender:

I would personally choose one of the two 35cm's. If you plan to order the chevre is to my understanding an SO and not a PO so that might be something to take in to account.
A 40cm is a very large bag but the weight difference between Togo and Clemence is negliable to my understanding, but Togo is the lighter one of the two.

If possible, try to see raisin in clemence and togo side by side. To my eyes, there's a distinct color difference. I personally prefer raisin in clemence, with chevre as my second choice. The color seems more lively in clemence, with almost a suggested iridescence, and it seems more subdued/muted in togo.

I'm sure it's not particularly noticeable most of the time, or to most people. My SA and SM didn't see it until the two leathers were side by side. I fell in love with raisin after seeing it in clemence, so getting it in togo disappointed me enough that I end up never carrying my raisin togo bag.

I love chevre! It's much lighter in weight and rigid (lack of sagging) than clemence. It's a matter of can you wait for the chevre. As for size, my vote goes to the 35.

F*F, it seems to me that you've already done the hard (and largeley subjective) part of the decision making - that is, deciding on your color combo. Raisin w/GHW is TDF!!

As to your question of a 35 or a 40 - well, IMO, that is largely a function-driven decision that only you can make. Is this bag for use as a purse or tote? Do you drive primarily or walk? Is it for everyday or more for travel? Do you carry your own bag or do you have someone to do it for you?! ;) Etc, etc. Your answers to these questions will help you decide which would be the more useful size for you. A 40 can be very large and very heavy, even if you are a "large bag kinda gal." I would highly recommend you try the sizes out in a store if you haven't already done so!

After that, you can address the leather question and determine how many choices you really have. If indeed you can still SO, then you will need to choose. If not, availability may well determine which you go for...

Clemence is good for 40 with the exception of its floppiness. Since you own 2 40s clemence (signature), you know the experience of their floppiness.

My vote; 35B raisin chevre ghw.

i have raisin in box and she's quite yummy~~ i would vote for chevre as well!! it should be lighter than clemence and togo. but as ladyhermes pointed out, it might be an SO not a PO~~ good luck!! raisin if truly beautiful!!
