I just purchased the pebbled Dark Navy Turnlock Edie Shoulder Bag during the Coach summer sale and wished I had also purchased a carryall/satchel in oxblood before they were sold out. I will pay extra for the quality of FP bags, but will buy bags that originated in retail and are now sold at places where I can order online like Costco or Amazon. I prefer more structured bags that will hold my phone, iPad, makeup bag, and perhaps even a small water bottle. I like the Oxblood color and would prefer a bag where the Oxblood is more burgundy/wine than brown (I read that the color varies by bag type). I noticed that Amazon and 6 PM are offering some bags in Oxblood that may work: Brooklyn 27, Mercer 30, and the Turnlock Edie Carryall. (Note that I am also open to any other bags that were originally FP.). I would appreciate any suggestions.

Also, I noticed that the Mercer is offered in grain instead of pebble leather. Any ideas as to which holds up better? Thanks!

Have a look at the full size Charlie. It was a style I had never considered, but received as a gift and fell in love with. She is simple and elegant, very lightweight, and easy to carry. I have the Mist/Silver with embossed C’s. The 28 might work well if you want a smaller bag, but I don’t find it difficult running around with the larger one all day.

I can carry a 13” Macbook Pro in a padded sleeve, iPhone, power cable, full length wallet, leather notebook, file folders, water bottle and lots of girly stuff, and it always looks sleek and stays organized. On days where I carry very little in it, it still looks great and I don’t feel like I’m carting a piece of luggage around.

For comparison, I also have the large teal Brooklyn, which is heavy to carry even when nearly empty, and easily looks overstuffed. It has a tendency to gape open at the top. My computer is a tight fit. I can’t put as much in it as in my Charlie. There’s so many compartments, it’s hard to stay organized as I can’t find where I put stuff. The 28 might not hold all you want as it’s quite a snug, structured layout, and it’s also heavy for its size.

My metallic Mercer 24 is nicely designed, and the 30 is the same, however the sections are shallower than on the Charlie or Brooklyn. The outer flaps make it look like the compartments are much deeper than they actually are.

I also have a cherries Taylor tote, which is slim, easy to carry and zips up completely, which can be helpful on a more casual day. Really like it as a carryall. It’s also available in oxblood.

Good luck! Have fun choosing!
