Please help me choose a shoulder bag

Hello everyone
Hope everyone is doing well.
I really would like to purchases shoulder bag but really unsure which one to get. I'd like it to be ok for both casual/formal/ even work. It doesn't have to be a big bag as I have a laptop bag for work which holds al my work documents and laptop.
Here are my current choices but please if you have any other suggestions don't hesitate to post suggestions.
The first is the
Gucci Dionysis in suade but I like both the monogramme and suade version.

The second option is the Saint Laurent monogramme bag I think this is a classic but I feel it may be too big

I would normally go for LV but there is nothing that catches my eye there.

I have both bags on my wishlist (although for YSL, it's the College bag) -- buttt, if I had to decide between the two, at the moment, I'm very very much into the Dionysus craze. I want one very badly, and I think it's the size and style work perfectly for both casual and night. The particular ysl you show does seem a bit too big for night-time, I think. Plus, so many have one version or another of the YSL monogramme bags, whereas the Dionysus is still a relatively new bag that you won't see as often. Of course, if you are able to try both in person, I would definitely suggest that before deciding on anything -- as it can go a long way in helping you decide.

Some other suggestions I have that work well for both casual/evening (at least, in my opinion) are: the Gucci marmont bag (if you want mongramme), Chloe drew, and Dior diorama (although higher price point than the others). You also mentioned you usually care for LV, and i think an Alma bb in a vernis finish suits both the casual and formal purpose.

Thanks for the suggestion I was leaning towards the Gucci as I do see that big YSL sign everywhere.
Sorry I do have mod shots from my snapchat that I took a while ago. Unfortunately I couldn't find the medium all suade to take any pictures.
But what do you think?

The YSL looks more dressy and professional whereas the Gucci bag is more casual. I think you need to decide if you want a bag that is a bit more dressy or a bit more casual. I do, however, think the Gucci bag's size suits your frame better then the YSL bag. Does that particular YSL bag come in a smaller size? A smaller size would suit your frame much better. Another thing to consider, the Gucci bag is a trendy 'It' bag and in a couple years time will likely look more dated then the YSL bag which is more of a classic style. Make sure that you are comfortable spending that amount of money on a bag that may look dated in the next few years.

I have to agree that the YSL seems fairly large, boxy, and more dressy.

I have the mini chain Dionysus in blooms and I love it. I'm not really a big fan of monogram which is why I picked the blooms bc it doesn't scream Gucci. The suede is nice and more subtle. I'm not sure how I would do with suede though, as I don't own any suede bags.

Do you like hobo bags? This one is pretty.

Wait, I take that back after seeing a model shot of the hobo. It's large. I vote for the other Dionysus.
