Please help me choose a bag...

Hello - I am about to purchase a new bag but I am torn between two options: ysl or gucci. They are both so similar..... I have also asked the ysl forum for their feedback. I will attach the pictures below - thanks for any input!!

IN this case, gotta go for the Marmont. I like the chain better and I think Gucci's quality is one step up from YSL

Agreed. The gucci quilting looks more uniform and pleasing to me. For ysl, i prefer the classic monogram with chevron quilting

Ooh,so exciting! I prefer the Gucci. But have you tried them on?
Sometimes that helps the decision making easier. I have a YSL Anita fringe and adore it, but it is totally not structured.
Let us know which you end up purchasing

I would get the Gucci Marmot. I have the bag and love it.

I love Guccis and YSLs but with this, I prefer the overall look especially the quilting of the Gucci.

I'm not all that crazy about the 2 different quilt patterns on the YSL, kinda messy looking IMO. I also wonder if the bottom leg of the "L" will snag on scarves etc or end up banged up because it hangs off the flap. The Gucci just has a cleaner look overall. I'm voting for Gucci.

OK - so in the end I bought the YSL and then returned it because it just didn't impress me very much. I then purchased a YSL college medium bag, but also did not love it. I ended up with the gucci dionysus black leather shoulder bag. I think I love it!
