Hi! I normally hang around other parts of this beautiful little forum we have here, but I just purchased my wedding dress this weekend for my upcoming wedding and need help accessorizing! I am so terrible at picking accessories. Seriously!

I've perused other threads here and we have some gals with some seriously great taste hanging around here - and I would love to hear from you all!

I have attached a photo of the bodice of my dress. My apologies if the photo quality isn't great! My mom took the picture as I was walking by while trying it on at the store. It has crystal and silver beading with very minor outlines of gold embroidery. The skirt is full with no beading, satin with an organza overlay. My wedding is taking place on Grand Cayman on September 1, and will be very intimate, low-key, mostly informal (no tuxes). My wedding colors reflect the tropic surroundings, a Caribbean blue with accents of buttery yellow and a couple pops of orange.

I am leaning towards NO necklace, and doing earrings with a bracelet. What do you all think? I have platinum blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin (but will be tanning a bit before the wedding).

Why not just a pair of nice earrings? You will be wearing a ring so I´m not sure you need a bracelet, it might draw away the attention from the ring.

I think you will look stunning!

Gorgeous dress! I second the no neckalce and drop earrings! Although the wedding is more casual, your dress looks elegant, so I think a bracelet would work!

Something like this:

The pearls and crystals would go well with the bodice.

Tell us what you're planning for your hair! Is there a veil?

Oh my gosh I must have searched Etsy for HOURS last night and never came upon that bracelet. I think it's gorgeous! Thank you!

Congrats on the big day!
I agree that no necklace is probably a good idea for a strapless dress. Do go big with the earrings and bracelet though! My sister got most of her jewelry and the bridesmaids' jewelry for her wedding last year from this cute little store in New York. Their prices are great and you can check their Bridal section out here: http://www.tinatang.com/bridal.html .

If you are not too worried about budget, I think Nordstrom has great bridal jewelry selction too!

Thank you Phoebea! Welcome to tPF! I feel so honored your first post was to help me out.

I'm going to check out that link now!

I PM'ed you!

I am so excited for you and I am totally falling in love with etsy.com! Such beautiful items that are handcrafted.

First, congrats and your dress is just gorgeous!! I agree with no necklace or a very delicate necklace with just a few pearls, kind of like Tiffany's diamond by the yard but with pearls...I also think a delicate bracelet like that would also look great. For earrings, some delicate pearl drops or pearl studs or pearl studs with some diamond accents if you want

If you're looking for pearls, pearlparadise.com is absolutely my favorite vendor. You can check out some member pics on here to see what freshadama pearls look like, they'd be AMAZING with your gown. You could get simple little pearl drop earrings:

and then maybe a simple pendant and bracelet? Thepearloutlet.com also has some great bridal deals: http://www.thepearloutlet.com/weddings.htm if you want a full set (maybe save the necklace for later?)
