Please help!!! I am so confused as to what type of wedding band would look good with my engagement ring. My jeweler (who designed this ring) thought a semi eternity band of 5 .20ct. stones (so band would be 1 ct. total) would look best and that I should get two bands like this, that way I can wear each band on either side of the ering OR wear them together on my right hand alone.

I think if I don't go full eternity I am going to regret it. I was leaning towards a 3 carat round eternity band and then buying two more thin (2mm) micropave diamond bands. That way I have four options, wear the ering and eternity ring together, wear the ering with the thin micropave bands on either side, wear the eternity band alone on my right hand or wear the eternity band and the micropave bands together alone on my right hand. Also would a 3 carat eternity band be suffcient for this ring or should I go larger? I tried a 5 carat eternity ring on today and I thought it was a bit much. Definitely cannot wear my ering and that together! For reference, I have a size 4.5 - 4.75 finger. The stats on my ering are 2.65 ct. RB H color VS2. You ladies are the BEST! Please help!!!

For reference this is what my jeweler thinks will look best, two of these bands. I can wear them stacked together on my right hand or one on either side of my ering. I just think if I don't get full eternity I will regret it.

A 3 carat (or should I go larger?) full eternity band and two of the micropave bands. That way I can either wear the eternity band with my engagement ring. Or the two micropave bands on either side of my engagement ring. Or I can wear the eternity band alone on my right hand. Or I can wear the eternity band sandwiched between the two micropave bands on my right hand. Thoughts?

I had the same issue a few years ago and I went with the eternity band instead of a 5 stone. I would go with diamonds all the way around because a 5 stone drove me nuts when it wasn't perfectly centered with my diamond and would roll a little on my finger. I don't have that problem with the enternity style. Your ring is BEAUTIFUL!

Consider an eternity band (full) of horozontal set baguettes.

It would look gorgeous with your ring.

I like the 3 ct. eternity band. I have a 2 ct. eternity band between my wedding and engagement rings. People comment on it all the time as it's bling all the way around. For reference, my engagement is 2 ct. with a .50 on each side. The wedding band is 3 .50's. I'll attach a pic once I figure out how...

Gorgeous ring you have. :)

just get a thin dainty eternity band and pair along with your e-ring, it is the best match ever. Trust me. You have a nice stone, don't take away the bling from it.

Tough choice. I would personally go for the simpler band. But that's me. Whatever you decide, don't rush into anything. If you buy online, make sure you go to a reputable online store that has actual diamond photos of real diamonds. Not stock photos. cause you may end up getting a ring that quite look in person like it does online if the site doesn't have real diamond images.

@Zippie, thank you. That is what I thought as well. My jeweler is of the mentality don't pay for diamonds you can't see but if the ring rolled and wasn't centered it would drive me nuts.

@Candice, I had the same idea. Start out with two micropave bands and then add more in the future. I have a friend who has three micropave bands, two in white gold and diamond and one in rose gold and diamond. When they are stacked it is beyond gorgeous!

@Texasgirliegirl and Eilonwy, I haven't seen a baguette eternity ring IRL. I will have to see if I can find one in a local store to try on. Thank you so much!

@Ame, MontyJess and Dintegrity, Thank you so much for the suggestions but I will be wearing my wedding ring on my right hand most of the time so I want some bling. :smile1: I just want the option of wearing it with my ering which I don't think will happen often.

@Shopbunny, I am buying these from my jeweler who made my ering. I don't think I would buy something like this online! He made a mold of the 5 stone ring and I wasn't crazy about it. I felt bad that he made the mold but I don't think I am going with that. Then I tried on a 3 carat eternity and loved it. Just very unsure if I should go bigger like 5 carat.

@Beverly - Thank you so much! You stack is SO GORGEOUS! I love it!!!
