Hi everyone! So I just bought this black and gold mini flap bag with handle and shiny lambskin. I’m obsessed with how pretty it is and I love the black and gold but I’m wondering if it’s too similar to my navy top handle? I love the size and I love having a handle with my bag to carry. What do you guys think? I also included a picture of all the bags in my collection so far and one of just the navy. I was considering getting a white bag, but I never feel comfortable carrying my light beige one, so I know with White, I will be even more hesitant. My Chanel bags are mostly used for nights out as I carry my LV bag for daytime.

Also, what do you guys think of the black shiny lambkin on this bag? Does anyone have any experience with this type of leather? Is it more prone to scratches?

They're bags with very different vibes. I personally am in love with this black lambskin bag. That handle! That chain detail!! That lambskin!!! So buttery, so gorgeous. I think this bag has one of the prettier lambskin I've seen in a while, especially since the more recent bags have been looking duller and more...colored, if it makes sense.

I personally love lambskin and don't find it to be as delicate as some people say and light scratches do rub out but it depends on how you treat your bags. If you're tossing it against every surface, lambskin would probably not work well for you. Here's a WOC I bought back in 2016 (the one on top). I've brought it to many a vacation and haven't necessarily babied it during the last 7 years but it still looks pretty new with a few light scratches. The insides are probably going to be more marked, though, but ymmy depending on the batch's lambskin - some wear better than others.

The WOC on the bottom is also lambskin, so there's definitely differences between each batch.

The black shiny one is very pretty! You might end up using it more than the navy. While both are similar styles, the colors are still very much different. Sometimes an outfit screams for a navy bag much more than for a black or other neutral. There is room for different colors/leather/sizes/styles in anyone's handbag collection:))
BTW, we are twins on both your C19 and Boy :))

Thank you!!! You actually just made me fall in love with the bag even more. I definitely see what you’re saying about the luster of the leather. I think I just got used to seeing their more dull lambskin but when we’re paying so much we need to see better quality leather! Happy to hear that your lambskin has held up!
